2026 NextGen Scholarship Application

Thank you for your interest in the 2026 NextGen Scholarship!

The Institutes CPCU Society will award 20 scholarships of $5,000 each to eligible undergraduate students pursuing their education and preparing for careers in the risk management and insurance industry.

Before beginning your application, please review the eligibility requirements and have all required materials ready for submission.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

Be a full-time undergraduate student attending a U.S. institution
Be majoring in risk management, actuarial science, finance, business, information systems, and/or have a strong desire to pursue a career in the risk and insurance industry after graduation
Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Not have previously received a NextGen Scholarship

Required Materials

Please be prepared to submit:

College transcript (unofficial copies are accepted)
At least one letter of recommendation from a professor (additional letters are welcome)
Personal statement of 750 words or fewer responding to the following prompt:
- The risk and insurance industry benefits individuals and society in more ways than people realize. Discuss an industry or societal need that you hope to address in your career.

All application materials must be submitted by Friday, Oct. 9.

Note: If you are selected as a scholarship recipient, the funds are sent directly to your college or university and can be applied to any outstanding educational expenses, including items such as tuition, books, and other fees.
